One of the most beloved stars of Love on the Spectrum has revealed they are officially exiting the series after three seasons on the Netflix original reality series.

Connor Tomlinson, who started his journey on Love on the Spectrum back in season 2 before dating Georgie Harris in season 3 and season 4, told Variety in an interview that he was leaving the series after season 4. Netlfix has already renewed Love on the Spectrum for season 5.

Here's what Connor said about leaving the series, via Variety:

"It is with humility and a heavy heart that I share I will not be partaking in Season 5. I feel like three seasons is enough to tell my story and find love on my own time. I’ve chosen to pass the torch to the next person who can make it as big as me.”

It's definitely sad to see Connor go, but he also confirmed to the outlet that he was staying in the entertainment industry and would be getting into voice acting. So, it's possible we'll see him on Netflix again in the future. I'm definitely going to miss Connor's energy, honesty, and voices. Honestly, I'm going to need some frequent updates on his dogs, too.

And, hey, we've seen other Love on the Spectrum stars who left the show return for short appearances in future seasons. We just saw a lot of them return in a very special moment during season 4, as well.

Connor and Georgie broke up off-screen during Love on the Spectrum season 4

Love on the Spectrum season 4 followed Connor and Georgie on a trip to England to visit Connor's family, including his grandpa. During the season, we also watched Connor share some of the things he was working through in his relationship with Georgie and how he wanted to take another step forward.

It was revealed that Connor chose to break up with Georgie after dating for more than one year during season 4, but it happened off-camera. Connor's mom, Lise Smith, explained that Connor wished for the breakup not to be filmed to protect everyone's privacy, according to TODAY.

"I felt like this was a private moment that didn’t need to be consumed,” Smith said during an appearance on the Talk to Me Sis podcast.

It's hard to say if Connor and Georgie's breakup played into his decision to leave the series or if it was just time for him to move on to other things. I know so many fans are going to miss him!

Love on the Spectrum season 5 is expected to premiere on Netflix next year. We'll share more news about the couples and cast as we find out! Stay tuned for more news about the next season of Love on the Spectrum.
