The Love is Blind season 10 reunion has come and gone, but a lot of fans are still talking about the many revelations from the special event now streaming on Netflix.
Nick Lachey revealed that there were more than 100 former Love is Blind contestants at the reunion, and during the episode, it was revealed that two of those former contestants from season 8 are now dating.
During a short break between season 10 contestants getting grilled about their behavior on the show, AD of Love is Blind season 6 interviewed Sara Carton and Joey Leveille in the audience where couple revealed that they are dating and have been since the summer of 2025.
Sara and Joey from Love is Blind season 8 have been dating for eight months
The couple, who appeared on the Minneapolis season of the series, obviously met during filming, but they didn't get together romantically until long after filming had finished. In the pods, Sara got engaged to Ben Mezzenga, but things didn't work out for very clear reasons if you watched that season. For some reason, Ben was seated directly behind Sara at the season 10 reunion, rocking a sweater vest without a shirt underneath.
"Well, I would say Joey and I's relationship is very happy," Sara said when AD asked about their situation. "And, throughout this past year, Joey has been the absolute best person in my life. And, I'm extremely grateful for this experience, that I met him through this. And, we just have so much fun and so much laughter, and I'm just very, very happy."
"I would say one of Sara's superpowers is how caring and empathetic she is, and I think she's absolutely amazing," Joey followed up.
Joey, on the other hand, got engaged to Monica Danús. For a while, it looked like Joey and Monica were going to get married at the altar, but they eventually turned each other down before moving on.
There were rumors for a long time that Sara and Joey had started dating. In the short interview during the reunion, Joey mentioned that the couple has officially been dating for about eight months.
As far as I know, I don't remember Joey and Sara interacting much at all on the show. I haven't seen season 8 in a while, but I don't remember them being interested in one another in the pods or even sharing much screen time together outside the group interactions. Obviously, they were dating other people, so that would have been really odd. Let's be real, though, that's not outside the realm of what we have seen on this show before, even in season 10. Looking at you, Alex!
I have to imagine, too, that it helps to have someone who has gone through this experience in your life, you know? Like, Love is Blind is a very, very weird show. There's a lot of pressure, and there's a lot of fan interest, so that can be really isolating for people after the show ends. These contestants are obviously in a vulnerable position, so it makes a lot of sense why so many of these couples find love with other people who have been on the show or other reality TV shows.
