Can you feel the 2000s nostalgia in the air? That's because we're going back to the beginning, back to when the Earth, the sun, and the stars all aligned on MTV and created the pop culture phenomenon that is Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.
Inspired by the popularity of the Fox teen drama series The O.C., MTV went from an unscripted tilt on the concept by following a group of real teenagers from Orange County, California and turning their lives into entertainment. Laguna Beach was an instant sensation thanks to the mostly manufactured love triangle between Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, and Kristin Cavallari.
But the series launched a reality television universe of its own and turned a lot of the cast into long-lasting stars. It's been over 20 years since Laguna Beach premiered on MTV, and the cast reunited for the first time on screen for a reunion special on The Roku Channel. All the nostalgia will have you wondering how old they were then and now and what they have been up to since high school.
Lauren Conrad
Lauren Conrad, who was known as "LC" during her time on Laguna Beach, was born on Feb. 1, 1986, making the former reality television star and fashion designer 40 years old in 2026. When the series premiered on MTV back in 2004, Conrad was 18 years old. The first season took place during her senior year of high school. She appeared in season 2 and most famously in the spinoff The Hills.
After leaving the MTV reality series, Conrad released six novels (the LA Candy and Fame Game trilogies) and three lifestyle guides (Beauty, Style, and Celebrate). Among various fashion endeavors, Conrad currently runs the LC Lauren Conrad collection for Kohl's. In 2014, she married William Tell and they have two sons Liam (born 2017) and Charlie (born 2019).
Kristin Cavallari
Kristin Cavallari was born on Jan. 5, 1987, making the entertainment personality and businesswoman 39 years old as of 2026. When the first season premiered, which covered Cavallari's junior year of high school, she was 17 years old. She also starred in the second season, taking place during her senior year. She later returned to the franchise after Conrad left The Hills.
Cavallari currently runs the fashion and lifestyle brand Uncommon James, hosts the podcast Let's Be Honest, and has returned to reality television with the series Very Cavallari and Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour. From 2013 to 2022, she was married to Jay Cutler and together they share three children: Camden (born 2012), Jaxon (born 2014), and Saylor (born 2015).
Stephen Colletti
Stephen Colletti was born on Feb. 7, 1986, making actor just a week younger than Conrad and also 40 years old. Colletti only appeared in the first two seasons of Laguna Beach and made one guest appearance on The Hills. After reality television, he turned his sights to acting, appearing in shows like One Tree Hill and Everyone Is Doing Great. In 2026, he appeared on The Traitors. Colletti married Alex Weaver in 2025 and they are expecting their first child together.
Trey Phillips
Trey Phillips was born on Sept. 15, 1986, making the designer 39 years old as of the reunion's release in April 2026. He was also 18 years old when the series originally released in 2004. Phillips only appeared in the first season, leaving to pursue a career in fashion design. He previously worked for Vera Wang and still shares his designs on Instagram. He's also set to launch a new recipe platform called Method Cooking.
Christina Sinclair (Schuller)
Christina Sinclair, who was previously known as Christina Schuller, was born on Sept. 8, 1986 and is currently 39 years old as of April 2026. While an original member of the Laguna Beach cast, she only appeared in the first season, which included her auditioning for Broadway. Now a fitness instructor, Sinclair is married to her husband Chad and together they share three children.
Morgan Smith (Olsen)
Like her fellow cast members, Morgan Smith (who was previously known by her maiden name Olsen) was born in 1986 and will turn 40 years old in 2026. She was also among the group navigating their senior year in the first season. Smith didn't return for the second season. She married her husband Joel in 2010 and they have three children. Smith launched the swimwear brand Minnow.
Talan Torriero
Talan Torriero was born on Nov. 2, 1986 and will turn 40 years old in 2026. He appeared in the first two seasons of Laguna Beach when was 17 and 18 years old. Since leaving reality television, Torriero has gained a large following on social media and has become popular on various platforms. He's married to his wife Danielle since 2014 and they have three children: Leonardo (born 2017), Hudson (born 2020), and Anderson (born 2023).
Lo Bosworth Natale
Lo Bosworth, whose real first name is actually Lauren, was born on Sept. 29, 1986, making the star and businesswoman 39 years old as of April 2026. Lo appeared in the first season at 17 years old and made guest appearances on the series and its spinoff until joining the main cast of The Hills in its sixth season.
After reality television, Lo has ventured into various spaces like lifestyle, beauty, and even food (she even went to culinary school), but has since found success with her women's healthcare brand Love Wellness. She's also the host of the podcast Tell Me I'm a Good Mom. In 2025, she married her husband Dom Natale and in 2026, they welcomed their daughter Nelle.
Jessica Smith Evans
Jessica Smith Evans was born on Sept. 15, 1987, which makes the former Laguna Beach star 38 years old as of April 2026. Evans appeared in the first two season of the reality show, charting her junior and senior years of high school. On the show, she dated Dieter and Jason. She's been married to her husband Michael for 15 years and they have four children. She currently runs a shop on Amazon.
Dieter Schmitz
Dieter Schmitz was born on Dec. 21, 1985, making the former Laguna Beach cast member 40 years old as of April 2026 and one of the oldest stars. While not a main cast member on the show, he made appearances throughout the first and second seasons during his senior year of high school and beyond. He's currently married to his wife Isabell and they have two children: Nico (born 2018) and Leni (born 2023).
Alex Hooser (Lauren Olsen)
Alex Hooser, as she was known on the show (her real name is Lauren Olsen), was born on Nov. 14, 1986 and will turn 40 years old in 2026. On the show's first two seasons, she was best friends with Kristin and Jessica during their junior and senior years. She's married and a mother of two children. Like most of the cast, she has a prominent presence on social media and recently launched a video series called Hoosie's Hotline where she answers questions submitted by fans.
