The Voice season 28 is in full swing, with coaches Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, Michael Bublé, and Snoop Dogg officially facing off against each other in the battle rounds. The battles so far have resulted in some shocking saves and steals, as more than a few contenders have been saved after losing the battle rounds, or stolen by another coach, in order to make it into the knockouts.
As devoted viewers of The Voice, the knockout rounds are some of the most exciting the long-running singing competition series has to offer, and they're up next. But when do the battle rounds end and make way for the knockouts? Unfortunately, there won't be a new episode airing on NBC on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, the first time this season the show won't have a Tuesday night episode.
But why isn't The Voice on tonight? That's because the NBA coverage on NBC kicks off and will take the place of The Voice on Tuesday night. NBA Showtime begins airing on NBC at 6:30 p.m. ET and runs into the beginning of the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder game at 7:30 p.m. ET. However, the night of basketball coverage isn't over yet.
The Voice isn't airing a new episode on Tuesday, Oct. 21 on NBC
The Golden State Warriors take on the Los Angeles Lakers beginning at 10 p.m. ET. The back-to-back NBA games push The Voice off the schedule on this particular night, but we won't have to wait long for the next episode. The series won't have a two-night airing on NBC this week, and that seems to be the normal moving forward with season 28.
The Voice returns with the battle rounds part four and the first part of the knockouts on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. Obviously, the series also streams on Peacock. The knockout rounds continue with the second part on Monday, Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. ET, once again moving away from a Tuesday night episode for the foreseeable future leading into the live shows post-knockouts.
According to NBC, The Voice season 28 will have another Tuesday night episode on Tuesday, Dec. 16. The network hasn't revealed what that episode will consist of and if any others will follow. Could that be the date of the finale? We'll have to wait and see! But moving forward, make sure that you're aware that the show will air new episodes on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, streaming next day on Peacock.
