Uh oh! It looks like one of CBS's biggest shows is going through some serious changes, with two key cast members saying goodbye ahead of the new season. How will their absence shake up the dynamic, and what does this mean for the future of the series?

After an explosive second season of Tracker, the hit action drama series is headed into its highly anticipated third season this fall on CBS, and fans can expect a major shakeup as the show moves forward with a slimmer cast.

Unfortunately, two beloved series regulars, Eric Graise and Abby McEnany, who portrayed Bobby Exley and Velma Bruin, are departing the show. Their exit leaves Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw and Fiona Rene’s Reenie Green as the remaining core cast members. Robin Weigert, who played Velma’s wife Teddi, was already written out after season 1. At this time, it's unknown why these cast changes were made, but they clearly signal a new creative direction for Tracker as it heads into its third season.

Tracker was created by Ben H. Winters. It's based on Jeffery Deaver's bestselling 2019 novel The Never Game and stars Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, a skilled survivalist and tracker who travels the country solving high-stakes cases involving missing persons and dangerous criminals in exchange for a hefty reward.

Assisting Shaw in his cases is Reenie Green, an attorney who helps navigate the legal complexities that arise during their investigations. Then, there was Bobby Exley, a tech expert, and Velma Bruin, Shaw’s business handler. Teddi Bruin was another one of Shaw's handlers.

Without Exley and Bruin, Shaw will be operating with a leaner support system, putting even more pressure on his instincts and resourcefulness in the field. Their departures mark a turning point for the series, potentially shifting the tone to focus more on Shaw’s solo investigations and personal journey. How he’ll manage without two of his trusted team members remains to be seen, but one thing is clear. Colter Shaw’s journey is about to become even more unpredictable and intense!

Tracker season 3 is set to premiere on CBS on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT. Following its premiere, a new episode will air every Sunday night going forward. If you miss the live broadcast on CBS, you can watch the episode the next day on Paramount+. However, keep in mind that you'll need a subscription to the streaming service in order to access full episodes.
