Former Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is making his way to NBC in the near future. According to Deadline, the network has picked up his single-camera comedy co-starring Tracy Morgan to series.

The series, titled The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, will also reunite Morgan with several of the team members behind 30 Rock. Tina Fey will executive produce while Robert Carlock and Sam Means are currently attached to write and executive produce as well.

Per the outlet, the initial order appears to be for 10 episodes, though the network has not yet specified when the single-camera sitcom is expected to launch. For now, it isn't available on the fall 2025 schedule unveiled at this year's upfronts, but that schedule is only for September and October. It's possible the sitcom will debut in November or be held for midseason.

Plot details are minimal, but the series will reportedly follow a disgraced sports star (Morgan) trying to rehabilitate his image.

While Radcliffe is best known for spending over a decade playing the famous boy wizard in multiple live-action films, he has done quite a bit of comedy in recent years. Since wrapping the final Harry Potter movie the actor has branched out significantly and taken roles in more experimental projects.

On the comedic side, he co-starred in the TBS anthology series Miracle Workers with Geraldine Viswanathan and Steve Buscemi for four seasons. He's also worked with Fey before on the Netflix special Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs the Reverend. Unfortunately, that episode was removed from the platform in May. Last year, the actor won a Tony Award for his performance in the Broadway revival of Merrily We Roll Along.

Next for Radcliffe, he will reprise his role as Walter Mabry in the upcoming Now You See Me: Now You Don't.

The Rise and Fall of Reggie Dinkins is one of the only new shows NBC has ordered to series, although the network has picked up a couple of pilots. Seeing as the Radcliffe-and-Morgan-led comedy doesn't have a release timeline yet, the only new show currently slated for NBC's fall 2025 schedule is the unscripted series On Brand with Jimmy Fallon.

Otherwise, NBC will pivoting to its NBA era after finalizing an 11-year agreement. For now, the fall schedule is focused on returning hits like the Law & Order and One Chicago universes along with sophomore seasons of The Hunting Party and Brilliant Minds, plus unscripted staples Dateline and The Voice. The NBA season will kick off in mid-October.

As mentioned above, NBC has only shared its September-October schedule so far, so The Rise and Fall of Reggie Dinkins could still arrive this year, stay tuned to GeekSided for updates!
