When there are discussions about the best medical drama shows, do you know what show is usually at the top of the list? It should be a no-brainer that it's Grey's Anatomy. This hit ABC series is like the blueprint for everything a medical drama should be. There's a reason why it's still on the air, while so many other shows have come and gone. It's consistently delivering season after season, and fans are really looking forward to its upcoming installment.

The season 21 finale left things at Grey Sloan Memorial less than stable. After a tank of flammable acetylene leaks onto the floor, a major explosion engulfs the entire OR wing. There are several doctors on that exact floor at the time. They are Bailey, Link, Jules, and Monica. Obviously, they would be the most in danger. But we also learned from Grey's Anatomy showrunner Meg Marinis that really anyone who was in the hospital at the time could be at risk.

With the Grey's Anatomy season 22 premiere just around the corner, ABC has released several photos that feature some of the cast members. These images pretty much let us know about some of the characters who are safe heading into the twenty-second season. Owen, Teddy, Benson, Winston, Amelia, Simone, and Meredith are all included in the photos, so they should be okay. A promo for Grey's Anatomy season 22 also included the characters Ben, Jo, and Catherine, and they were fine. Additionally, there may be more characters who are safe for season 22 based on a cast member's recent Instagram post.

The Grey's Anatomy cast recently got together and celebrated the show’s monumental 450th episode milestone. To commemorate the special day, Anthony Hill, who plays Winston, shared a bunch of photos from the day on his Instagram. One of the images was a group photo that included many other Grey's Anatomy actors and show creator Shonda Rhimes.

You may be wondering why this is important. Well, James Pickens Jr. (Richard), Chandra Wilson (Bailey), Chris Carmack (Link), and Niko Terho (Adams) were included in the photo. While we know the fates of the characters listed way above, we don't know the fates of these four actors' characters heading into the new season.

But could this photo be hinting that Richard, Bailey, Link, and Adams are all safe and set to continue their storylines in season 22? Possibly! Some fans have been questioning this because they don't believe that the actors would've shown up to the celebration if their characters were about to exit the series.

While others remain skeptical, noting that just because they made an appearance doesn't mean their characters are guaranteed to survive. I personally would agree with this side. This seemed like a huge celebration that really anyone from the cast or crew could've attended. And right now, too many characters are confirmed safe.

If Richard, Bailey, Link, and Adams are okay, then who does that leave potentially in danger? Jules and Monica? It just wouldn't make sense for Grey's Anatomy to do this whole hospital explosion storyline for basically all the characters to be okay. Hear me out. I don't want anyone to die, but this Grey's Anatomy. This show is known for stuff like this.
