Fan-favorite reality and competition series Lego Masters is coming back for another season! Fox has officially renewed the intense building block show, bringing it back to us viewers in the 2025-2026 season. Though this is great news, the renewal also comes with a bittersweet update.
When the new season premieres, it's going to look a little bit different since host Will Arnett will not be returning. According to Deadline, this is due to scheduling conflicts. So I guess Fox didn't want to accommodate his schedule, and has decided to go with a new host. Get ready to see Nick Cannon take on the role of Lego Masters host starting with season 6.

This is a bit disappointing because Arnett has been a staple on the competition series since it first began. The man behind the voice of Lego Batman in the Lego Movie franchise was a perfect fit from the start. It's not known what exactly was the reason for the scheduling conflict. Currently, you can see the actor in the series Twisted Metal on Peacock, with season 2 premiering in July. There's also upcoming movie in production, Is This Thing On?, in which he stars, writes, and produces.
It's certainly going to take some getting used to, though I do think overall Cannon is a pretty good choice. He's already a host on another Fox reality series, The Masked Singer, right now. So he's got a lot of experience under his belt! Before that, he also took on the MC role on NBC's America's Got Talent. So, Lego Masters is in good hands. Again, it's just going to take a little bit to get used to this change.

According to a press release, Lego Masters season 6 will film in-person auditions for the upcoming new season at Legoland California Resort on June 21 and June 22. New host, Cannon, and the brickmasters will be there as well. For more information about the auditions, head over to the Fox website.
Plus if you're still not ready to say goodbye to Arnett, don't worry! Season 5 still isn't over and is currently airing new episodes Monday nights at 8 p.m. on Fox. Be sure to check out the rest of the season and the final episodes with Arnett before Cannon takes over. Change can be good, so let's see how this one will turn out!
Lego Masters season 5 airs new episodes Mondays on Fox. The sixth season is set to premiere in the 2025-2026 season on the network.
