Going into the holiday season, many of our favorite shows will be taking some time off from airing new episodes or have some scheduling changes leading up to the new year. While multiple small-screen favorites have already said farewell for the year, a handful will still be back with new episodes, including the new CBS comedy series DMV.
Thankfully, DMV will still be providing a few more laughs until signing off for 2025, and that includes a new episode set to premiere during the week of Thanksgiving. However, the comedy series is on the move this week and airing during a new time to make way for a special event taking its place.
DMV season 1 episode 7, titled "There Is No I in DMV," premieres on Monday, Nov. 24 at 9:30/8:30c on CBS. The comedy series usually kicks off the network's Monday night lineup at 8/7c, but the network has pushed the latest episode back, and for a very good reason. The Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion will be airing at 8/7 and last for 90 minutes.

Rather than bumping DMV completely or airing a rerun, CBS is wisely using the Everybody Loves Raymond reunion special to debut a new episode of the new comedy. It goes without saying, but the reunion special for the classic sitcom will surely grab a much larger audience than DMV on its own, and this opportunity will give the show a boost with more new viewers possibly tuning in.
This week's episode features guest star Randall Park as Beau, the manager of the North Hollywood DMV and the rival of Barb and the East Hollywood branch. They look to gain some inspiration from Beau's secrets to success, but the team's field trip across town only seems to make Barb doubt her leadership skills. Meanwhile, Gregg and Vic find a new way to poke fun at Colette's crush on Noa.
DMV has been largely flying under the radar it seems, but it's truly right in like with beloved workplace comedies like The Office, Superstore, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and more. This television season, there weren't a lot of new comedies launched on the broadcast networks, but the standout comedy debut definitely belongs to DMV on CBS. The ensemble and the humor are beyond hysterical.
Make sure not to miss this week's new episode with a very hilarious guest star, and mark your calendars for the final two episodes of the year. DMV airs new episodes on Dec. 1 and Dec. 8 before taking a break for the remainder of 2025 and returning with new episodes on Feb. 23. That's when the real wait begins! Watch on CBS or catch up now by streaming on Paramount+.
