The clues were not easy to guess in Destination X season 1, episode 9. It’s not surprising that nobody put their X in the right location, but still, only one could go home.
Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Destination X season 1, episode 9.
With the loss of Ally in the previous episode, there was a clear split in Destination X. At least, it was a clear split for us, with Rick and Peter working together and Shayne and Biggy still teaming up. Sadly, one of the teams would end up split up, and you likely knew which one it would be.

Where in the X were they in Destination X season 1, episode 9?
Things started with the group heading west from Venice, and they were given the chance to ride a horse through some beautiful mountain ranges in Europe. Not the ones you would expect, though. Instead, they headed to the heat, leading to a lot of discussion about where they could be.
Each one got a clue, and all four clues linked together. Would they share those clues? Well, naturally, Peter and Rick shared theirs with each other, and Shayne and Biggy shared theirs with each other. Without all four, it was going to be difficult to guess that each one got a suit of cards to give them a clue to the Casino of Monte Cristo.
This was where Rick proved that he is in it for himself, and it’s a game, so we can’t really blame him. When Biggy and Rick talked about clues, Rick told Biggy that he got two white pinecones. He certainly had a good poker face as well.
Those were all the clues they got. Halfway through the episode, the Final Four had to drop their Xs, with Peter and Rick choosing close to Cannes, France, and Biggy opting for slightly west of that. Shayne was way off in Milan, Italy.
We learned from Jeffrey Dean Morgan that they were in Monaco, which is the second-smallest sovereign state in the world, with Vatican City coming in first.

Would Shayne go home in Destination X?
While Shayne put his X in Italy, not all was lost for him. Morgan took the four on a yacht, where they would play roulette to gamble their chance at $250,000. If they won on the roulette table, they could either move their own X or another player’s X.
This ended up with Peter choosing to move another player’s X, switching Biggy and Shayne. Suddenly, it looked like Biggy would be the one to go home. Then Shayne got the opportunity to move a player’s X, and that was to put a player back in his original position. Of course, feeling bad that Biggy was way out in Milan, Shayne chose to move Biggy’s X back into France.
This would have left Biggy and Shayne in a tie-breaker, but then Biggy won at the roulette and opted to move his own X. He just had to hope that it would move his X closer to the right location. Fortunately, for Biggy it did.
With Rick in Monaco thanks to moving his own X at the table, and Peter and Biggy close to the right location, it was Shayne who ended up going home. It was a close one, though!
The very end had Morgan force the Final Three to share their clues from the boxes, which meant that Biggy learned Rick had lied to his face. Biggy knows that this is just a game, but how will it change things going into the Destination X season 1 finale next week?
Destination X airs on Tuesdays at 10/9c on NBC.
