Now that Chicago Med's season 11 fall finale aired on NBC in November 2025, the show won't return until 2026. While I am disappointed that I have to wait weeks to see the medical drama air new episodes, I still have many reasons to be thankful for how much the show has grown over the last several months.
Putting aside fun behind-the-scenes Chicago Med developments, the show has featured many fantastic moments during season 10 and during what has been seen of season 11 so far. With that in mind, it is exciting to consider the best moments from Chicago Med episodes that aired for the first time in 2025.

These 2025 Chicago Med moments made me love the show more
Between January 8, 2025, and November 12, 2025, more than 20 episodes of Chicago Med aired for the first time. Those new episodes of the medical drama featured a series of moments that I absolutely loved as a major fan of the show. Since many people focus on their complaints about modern media, it is refreshing to look at the 2025 highlights of Chicago Med.
For me, the 2025 highlight of Chicago Med has to be the entirety of season 10, episode 17, "The Book of Archer." The reason that is the case is that I consider that episode to be the best Chicago Med episode ever produced.
Still, since this article is about moments, there are many fantastic scenes from that episode, including Dr. Lenox revealing her past to Dr. Archer and the hospital employees having fun with a tag they are clipping on each other's clothes. The episode featured a truly compelling storyline focused on Dr. Archer coping with the news that his ex-wife, who was the mother of his son, had suddenly passed away. That set up the best moment of all, when, after worrying all episode, Dr. Archer learned his son was coping with his grief as well as anyone could.
Much more recently, season 11 of Chicago Med featured another moment that reminded me why I love the show. After several episodes of the season set up a love triangle involving Dr. Frost, Dr. Howard, and Lizzie Novak from Chicago Fire, that storyline created a scene I couldn't get enough of. Even though she'd previously rejected Dr. Frost, seeing Dr. Howard admitting to him that she had feelings for him despite presuming that he'd moved on was a perfectly crafted moment. The best part was Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut's performance as Dr. Howard in that moment, as the always expressive actor subtly portrayed a myriad of emotions during the short scene.
Another scene that reminded me why I love Chicago Med left me feeling emotionally destroyed. After Dr. Charles learned that neither of his daughters felt comfortable talking to him and that his youngest had tried to harm himself, it was powerful to see him overcome with guilt, fear, sorrow, regret, and more. While I would typically hate to see a character I love go through that kind of pain, the moment felt so real that it left my heart pounding.
In 2025, Chicago Med featured several other moments that showed what makes the show great. For example, it was wonderful to see Sharon Goodwin and Maggie Lockwood team up to help themselves, the hospital, and their co-workers. It was exhilarating to see the returns of Dr. Halstead, Dr. Manning, Dr. Reese, Robin Charles, and Anna Charles. There have also been exciting moments that hinted at the show's future, like when Dr. Frost and Dr. Ripley decided to become roommates.
Ultimately, 2025 was a great year for Chicago Med.
