Bob's Burgers will reach its 300th episode milestone in the upcoming Season 16, which is set to premiere in September. With everything the Belchers have gone through, and the permanent change to Jon H. Benjamin's voice as Bob, it's high time that the animated comedy starring this eccentric, yet tight-knit family, gets the deserved recognition, and there's a big plan in place to make that happen.
During the panel at Comic-Con 2025, executive producer Loren Bouchard revealed to fans that Bob's Burgers will be returning to its roots for its 300th episode. The Belcher family will reminisce about the early days of the restaurant, as Bob tackles a related issue that many of us are facing: inflation and its repercussions. Linda will also recall a life-changing moment, which will impact the success of the restaurant.
"In the present day, Bob is really sweating whether or not to raise prices, and it’s killing him," Bouchard says. “It sends us on this kind of series of flashbacks to just what was going on when Bob and Linda started the restaurant."
To add fuel to the broiler, Bob's stressed about Opening Day, coupled with the fact that Linda is about to give birth to their first child, Tina. The storyline then springs to the current landscape of the show and how everything came to light.
Bob's Burgers has been on the air for fifteen years, and although that's a long time for any show, Bouchard admitted that marking a 300th episode achievement holds a bizarre feeling. Understandably, most show creators often have a level of disbelief when presented with the success.
"There’s something absolutely bizarre about doing 300 episodes of television of the same show across 15 years. I mean, we do live in a bizarro upside-down world!”
Bob's Burgers will also have two new holiday episodes in season 16
Aside from the 300th milestone, we'll also be getting two new holiday adventures. Starting off with Halloween, Uncle Teddy gets a new retail job at a Spirit-inspired store next to the restaurant, and if I know Halloween, then you know chaos will unfold from there.
Then, there's Christmas, where the Belchers are entranced in a Christmas village. Picture the German Christkindlesmarkt, where delicious food, crafts and treasures, and the holiday aura is experience. Maybe Bob will have a tent of his burgers for sampling.
Fans will also get new Bob's Burgers merch
What better way to connect a fan's love and appreciation for a show than merchandise? In honor of the 16 seasons (and counting!), success, Bob's Burgers will drop a new line of t-shirts, aprons, recipes, and more. I suspect that the recipes will be a little more advanced than Bob's, as everyone loves a tasty burger. But I don't blame the guy for his efforts and for keeping his family afloat.
On September 23, the book "The Art of Bob's Burgers" will be launched across bookstores and online. Fifteen years of the show's artwork, illustrative ideas, and the evolution of the art from paper to screen will be embedded in the text. Next to the 300th celebration, the book is something that Bouchard and his team are proud of.
"This is a very important book to us. We love the artists’ work on the show, we love the drawings that have gone on, all the millions of miles of pencil lead on paper, and we wanted to celebrate.”
