We're getting closer to a full week of TV to choose from.

It’s another week, and more and more TV shows are coming back to broadcast. We also have the arrival of a few new shows, which could be great for those ready for something a little easier and lighter to watch.

Of course, with so much back, it can be hard to choose what to watch and what to skip. When we say skip, we still say to watch at a later date. The benefit of streaming services now is that we can catch up the following day on most shows.

We have eight shows to watch this week, although three of them are all on one night, and we’re grouping them together in this post. The ones to skip are mostly reruns, or they’re great shows to watch the following morning.

What to skip: FBI

We’ll start with a show to skip, as it is first in the lineup. CBS continues with its night of reruns, and that includes a rerun of FBI season 7. With the series coming back soon, you will want to catch up on past events, but don’t worry about doing that for now. You can catch up whenever you would like on Paramount+.

After FBI is a rerun of Watson. Again, you can get away with skipping this, as it’s on Paramount+ if you need to catch up.

What to watch: Brilliant Minds

After the way the Brilliant Minds season 2 premiere ended, there’s no doubt that you’ll want to know what was written in the letter. You’ll find out in the second episode, almost immediately, and you can probably guess what it was.

On top of that, the interns have an interesting case with a woman suffering from Truman Show syndrome. Yes, it’s named after the Jim Carrey movie, and in this episode, Lauren believes she is in a dating show like Love Is Blind. What’s really going on? That’s for Oliver and his interns to figure out.

Brilliant Minds airs on Monday at 10/9c on NBC.

What to skip: NCIS

Back to the shows to skip, and it’s another rerun on CBS. There are two reruns of the flagship NCIS series on Tuesday starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and then there’s a rerun of NCIS: Origins. Like with FBI, the shows are available on Paramount+.

Yes, you will want to play catchup if you fell behind or if you can’t remember what happened in the episodes. However, you don’t need to watch them on the broadcast. There’s plenty more to check out on Tuesdays!

What to watch: Doc

One of the shows to watch is Doc. The second season has started, and we got a new look at the way Amy’s personality changed after the death of her son. She wasn’t just protecting herself, but she tried to protect other people.

Now she wants her memories back, and she’s willing to go through some intense treatment to do that. However, it could come with the risk to her job, as a new Chief is walking the halls, and she’s looking to make cuts.

Doc airs on Tuesday at 9/8c on FOX.

What to watch: On Brand with Jimmy Fallon

There’s a new reality series to check out, and if you’re a Jimmy Fallon fan, you will definitely want to watch. On Brand with Jimmy Fallon follows a group of contestants work on disrupting the marketing profession as we know it.

In the series, 10 bold creative minds will challenge the idea-makers when it comes to campaigns. And yes, they’re taking on the marketing for some of the most well-known brands around the world, such as Captain Morgan, Dunkin’, and KitchenAid. Each week, someone will be eliminated, until only one can win the $100,000 prize.

On Brand with Jimmy Fallon will air on Tuesday at 10/9c on NBC and then on Friday at 8/7c on NBC.

What to watch: One Chicago

The entire One Chicago lineup is back, and you will want to watch all three shows. It all starts with Chicago Med, which will see Lenox fighting to save two sisters who were injured in an all-night rave. Meanwhile, Goodwin and Abrams continue to fight over the difficult staffing changes at Gaffney.

Then in Chicago Fire season 14, we’ll see the arrival of a new team member at Firehouse 51, while Herrmann struggles to deal with his decision to demote himself for Mouch. In Chicago PD, Intelligence is fractured as they all come to grips with the steps Voight took to get rid of Reid, and he will do whatever it takes to fix the family.

One Chicago airs on Wednesday starting at 8/7c and ending with Chicago PD at 10/9c on NBC.

What to skip: Shark Tank

It’s time for the last show to skip, and this is a new episode of a popular series. Shark Tank is moving to Wednesdays, and we have to admit it was a questionable decision up against One Chicago on NBC. This time slot has always been difficult, but if any show can survive it, it’s Shark Tank.

The great thing is that you can catch up the following day. All episodes head to Hulu, so that is the place to be to watch it.

What to watch: Law & Order: SVU

With the ending to the premiere, there is no way that you can skip over Law & Order: SVU right now. Velasco ended up getting into a vehicle, and it doesn’t make a lot of sense right now. After all, that vehicle looked shady! So, we need to know what the deal is there.

Meanwhile, the case itself will see Benson and her team work on protecting women in an underground nightclub. It’s a breeding ground for sexual assault, and they will want to shut it down as fast as possible.

Law & Order: SVU airs on Thursday at 9/8c on NBC.

What to watch: The Simpsons

Let’s end the week with something light. The Simpsons returned last week on FOX, and now there’s a new episode to check out. There is something heartwarming about The Simpsons despite some of the annoyances of various characters.

Chalmers ends up getting a job at the power plant thanks to Homer, and this opens up a lucrative discovery. Is it something that he’ll share with Homer as a thank you? What does it mean for Mr. Burns?

The Simpsons airs on Sunday at 8/7c on FOX.
