Broadway’s biggest night has finally arrived! Tonight, Tony-winner and Wicked star Cynthia Erivo will take the stage at Radio City Music Hall, live from New York City, as the host of the 78th Annual Tony Awards!
Fans of Broadway won’t want to miss tonight’s live event. The night will see new winners crowned, amazing performances from the nominees, and feature some of the biggest names in Broadway as they take to the stage to celebrate some of the best musicals and plays from the latest Broadway season.
The 3-hour event will be airing on CBS beginning at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. You’ll want to check your local listings to find your CBS affiliate, but if you’re looking to stream the Tony Awards, there are a few options for you! As the Tonys will be airing on CBS, you can stream them live via Paramount+ with select plans. You can also watch the Tony Awards live via other streaming providers with a live TV plan, including Hulu + Live TV and fuboTV.
There is a Tony Awards red carpet, just not one that will air on E! or TV
If you’re hoping to enjoy red carpet coverage leading up to the Tony Awards, you’re in luck! There will indeed be a Tonys red carpet, but you won’t find it airing on E! or even on CBS. The Tonys red carpet will stream live via Playbill’s YouTube channel beginning at 4 p.m ET / 1 p.m. PT hosted by Playbill's Jeffrey Vizcaíno. You can watch it via the YouTube live steam below:
In addition to the live red carpet show, ahead of the Tony Awards, Darren Criss and Renée Elise Goldsberry will host The Tony Awards: Act One live pre-show. The event will be streaming via Pluto TV beginning at 6:40 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT. During the live special, Criss and Goldsberry will kick off the 78th Annual Tony Award festivities by presenting the first wave of awards in some of the creative categories.

2025 Tony Award performers include a Hamilton cast reunion
As is always the case, tonight’s live Tony Awards will feature performances from the casts of this season’s biggest musicals and revivals, with the night’s nominees taking to the stage to bring a little bit of Broadway magic into homes across the country.
Tonight’s performance list includes can’t-miss numbers from the casts of Buena Vista Social Club, Dead Outlaw, Death Becomes Her, Floyd Collins, Gypsy, Maybe Happy Ending, Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical, Pirates! The Penzance Musical, Sunset Blvd., Just in Time, and Real Women Have Curves. The night will also include a special appearance from the 2019 Tony Honor Recipient, Broadway Inspirational Voices.
In addition to celebrating the night’s nominees and the biggest shows of the season, tonight’s Tony Awards will also include a special performance from the original cast of Hamilton! To celebrate Hamilton’s 10th Anniversary, CBS will be bringing back original stars Carleigh Bettiol, Andrew Chappelle, Ariana DeBose, Alysha Deslorieux, Daveed Diggs, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, Sydney James Harcourt, Neil Haskell, Sasha Hutchings, Christopher Jackson, Thayne Jasperson, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Stephanie Klemons, Morgan Marcell, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Javier Muñoz, Leslie Odom, Jr., Okieriete Onaodowan, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Jon Rua, Austin Smith, Phillipa Soo, Seth Stewart, Betsy Struxness, Ephraim Sykes, and Voltaire Wade-Greene for what is sure to be an unforgettable moment that will leave fans talking!

2025 Tony Nominees
The nominations for the 78th Annual Tony Awards were revealed on May 1 with Buena Vista Social Club, Death Becomes Her, and Maybe Happy Ending leading the pack this year with a total of 10 nominations each. The three musicals will all be competing in tonight’s Best Musical race, where it’s expected one of the three productions will walk away with the Tony. Though it’s possible Dead Outlaw and Sunset Blvd. walk away with the win as the two musicals also walked away with a handful of nominations, with seven apiece.
On the play front, John Proctor is the Villain and The Hills of California rank as the most nominated plays of the season with seven nominations each. The two plays will face off for Best Play, and it wouldn’t be surprising at all for one of the two to claim the top prize.
