Sony has been teasing us with the release of the Playstation 5 Pro for some time now. With no new Xbox or Nintendo Switch consoles due to be released soon, all of the focus is on the PS5. But when will it finally be released, and why haven’t we heard anything yet?

The Anticipated Release Date

According to recent leaks and industry speculation, the PS5 Pro should come out sometime this year. Many predict it will finally hit shelves in September or November, which aligns with Sony’s previous patterns of releasing upgraded consoles in time for the holiday season. However, there is some speculation about whether it will come out in 2024 since there has yet to be an official reveal from Sony stating that it would.

However, hope is still high as many suspect Sony will reveal the console in September before releasing it in November.

Expected Upgrades and Features

  • The PS5 Pro should deliver a substantial boost in raw rendering power, allowing for smoother gameplay and more detailed graphics with a 45% boost in rendering power.
  • With improvements in ray-tracing technology and other tech advancements, we might finally see support for 8K resolution, which can help display more photo-realistic images.
  • The PS5 Pro's GPU delivers 33.5 teraflops of power, which allows it to handle more complex gaming environments and provide better overall performance.

What will the PS5 Pro Look Like

Most experts expect the PS5 Pro to be a little larger than the standard model, as the PS4 Pro was larger than the original, which made enough room for the more powerful components. However, with no reveal from Sony yet, we don’t know how much larger it is or have any concrete details on its shape, color, etc.

Should You Wait or Buy the PS5 Now?

The PS5 is still a great gaming system with a large collection of great games, so it can be a good choice if you’re in a hurry to start playing. Going with the standard version will also likely save you big in costs. Hoewver, if you want the best gaming has to offer and have the funds, the PS5 Pro should come out within a few months.
